Blue Square Residential Ltd is a non-profit Registered Social Landlord. Since our inception in 2012, we have helped hundreds of vulnerable tenants find accommodation and support.
We specialise in Supported Housing which means we provide a combination of housing and support tailored to the needs of each tenant which enables them to lead as much of an independent, full and active life as possible.
We currently manage over 500 Supported Housing properties across England & Wales and work with a number of specialist support providers to deliver services and support to people with a wide range of needs such as learning disabilities, mental health problems, physical disabilities, victims of domestic violence etc.
Supported Housing
Supported housing is any housing scheme where housing, support and sometimes care services are provided as an integrated package. Some schemes are long-term, designed for people who need ongoing support to live independently, others are short-term, designed to help people develop the emotional and practical skills needed to move into more mainstream housing. This can include support for health needs, including mental health, drug and alcohol use, managing benefits and debt, developing daily living skills and accessing education, training and employment.
At any one time, over 600,000 people rely on supported housing to provide a secure place to live and to offer appropriate care and support.
The purpose of supported housing is to enable people to live as independently as possible within their community, with a real focus on social inclusion. Supported housing schemes support a wide range of people, including those who are homeless, people living with mental illness, learning disabilities, physical disabilities or recovering from substance misuse, people who have spent their childhood in care, are fleeing domestic violence, or those who are elderly and need extra support to live independently.
Every person living within our supported schemes will have an individual plan tailored to their own requirements and support needs. The ultimate goal is for people to gain skills to enable them to live independently.
Tenant Services
Tenancy Maintenance –We will help maintain your tenancy. This includes debt and arrears management, advice on rights and responsibilities as a tenant and help to deal with ASB or neighbour nuisance.
Partnership –We have created a unique inclusive housing ethos. We engage with Local Authorities and care providers to ensure that everybody receives the property and care package which best suits your needs.
Repairs & Maintenance – We work hard to make sure your home is safe and secure and meets your needs. If you need a repair we aim to do it as quickly as is practically possible, at a time which suits you and to cause you the minimum amount of disturbance.
Support –Our tenant’s well-being is very important to us. We will have an individual plan tailored to each individual’s own requirements and support needs.
Housing –Blue Square Residential operate throughout the UK. We work with a whole range of parties involved in support, to develop unique projects built around the tenant’s needs and requirements.
These services aim to enable vulnerable people to live more independently, both in their own home and in the community, through the provision of housing-related support services.
